Website visitors
We may collect standard analytics data when you visit tryclearlight.com, including pages visited, time on site, and general location data. This is used solely to understand how our site is used and improve it. Lawful basis: Legitimate Interests.
Prospective clients (inbound)
If you contact us or book a call, we collect your name, business email, company name, and job title. This is used to respond to your enquiry and assess fit for our services. Lawful basis: Legitimate Interests / Pre-contractual necessity.
B2B prospects (outbound)
As part of our services, we and our clients conduct outbound email and LinkedIn outreach to business professionals. The personal data we process in this context is limited to professional information — name, job title, company name, business email address, and LinkedIn profile URL — sourced from publicly available professional sources. This data is used solely for legitimate B2B outreach purposes. Lawful basis: Legitimate Interests. We have assessed that our use of this data is proportionate and does not override the rights and interests of the individuals concerned.
3. How we collect data
We collect data directly from individuals who contact us, from publicly available professional sources such as LinkedIn and company websites, and from third-party data enrichment providers.
4. Who we share data with
We use a number of third-party software providers to operate our business, covering data enrichment, outreach, workflow automation, CRM, and cloud storage. These providers act as data processors on our behalf and are contractually bound to process personal data only on our instructions and in accordance with applicable data protection law. We do not sell personal data to any third party.
Some of our software providers are based outside the UK. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the relevant supervisory authority.
5. How long we keep data
- Prospective client enquiries: 24 months from last contact
- B2B prospect data: 24 months from first contact, or immediately upon receipt of an opt-out request
